Troika House Rule: Weapons
I recently put up a bunch of additional damage matrices for weapons found in traditional fantasy rpgs not in troika as well as stuff like getting hit by trains or caught in explosions up on itch.. I thought I might as well add some weapons related house rules I use for troika to my blog as well.
Higher Lethality
For those in search of even higher lethality, a player character’s advanced skill is added to their damage rolls.
Enemies add a third of their skill to damage rolls. If they are particularly dangerous a half, surprisingly weak a quarter.
Dual Wielding
The attacker Rolls Vs using the lesser of two Weapon Skills for each weapon. The attack may roll damage with both weapons using a d3.
If their secondary weapon is used primarily for riposting, then initiated Roll Vs attacks are made with the primary weapon Skill, non-initiated Rolls Vs use the secondary weapon Skill. The attack may roll damage with the primary weapon as normal.
