Juho (A location prompt for flying circus)

In a small town somewhere on the coast of Himmilgard sit's the coastal town of Juho. Like much of Himmilgard Juho is surrounded by stunning landscapes, but luckily for them, they are also close to a beautiful sea. Sitting just 20 meters off of the beach is a V formation of 10 wind vales. Each wind vale is shaped and painted like a different plane. 1d10 Explanations for the planes 1) The vales represent the first 10 planes the town built. What era are the planes from? 2) The vales are a memorial for 10 soldiers lost in the war that came from this small town. Are the family members of the soilders still alive? 3) Kids have started carving their own planes before they are taught how to fly. Who was the first kid to make a plane, how old are they now? 4) A toymaker has made a plane every year around New Year as an advertisement. Does it work? 5) The vales represent the circus that used to protect the town. Why does the circus no longe...

Muddy 1 A wizard can make it so someone's footstep track mud everywhere they step for 3 minutes.  Painting Form 1 The wizard can assume the shape of a perfectly flat version of themselves. Dark Sun 6 dimensional Weather

I recently stumbled upon  this system for determining weather.  I made a chart and posted it on arena.athas but I realize it's not particularly friendly to people with colorblindness so I decided to make an updated version that is less reliant on color

CAPERS Offworld Locations: Olympia 1

Image
When exploring the galaxy a new place to investigate, visit, or lie low. Olympia 1 The Moon of Plenty Mining isn't the most glamorous job in the world but you cannot deny the money starts rolling in with the opening of the mine. Olympia 1 is a moon of the gas giant Olympia. Olympia 1 has some of the most plentiful Aether and Trembium mines ever seen.  The Dry Moon Not many places off of Earth are fully dry but Olympia is different. The mines set up were established by an American Company using the Imperial system. The small spaceship docking station is too small for ships built to the metric scale meaning they cannot dock. A new station built for metric ships is in the process of being made but it will be a few years until that happens, meaning nearly 100% of the people on the planet are Americans. Fortunately for people in need of a drink that doesn't mean 100% compliance with the law. New Morgantown The Big Dome The only city on this mostly desolate moon is New Morganstown. A...

The General Glory System 0.9

Image
I plan on running a game where an expansionist empire will be a somewhat central problem. What is an expansionist empire if it doesn’t have military leaders vying for power and glory along with their conquest? Adolf Ehrhardt's Die Schlachten To help facilitate that I have created a simple numerical system to track how much glory one person has gained to the people of the empire. The Count  Each General has a renown score, the score represents the abstract public image of them as a person. Their score can only change once they have returned from the front line. There are five brackets of renown one can have. Unknown (1-15) While they are an accomplished general the people do not know much of you. Respected (16-30) Talk of their exploits has reached the public. The people respect their military might Renowned (31-45) The people hear fables of what you do. People will sometimes walk up to them to thank them for their service to the empire. Revered (46-60) Considered one of the greats ...
