Two Little Guys in the Glory Hole
Having befriended the bigfoot the adventurers delve deeper. After forging down the hallway they were in they arrive into an abandoned room filled with lots of mining supplies, there are carts overturned in just the same way there were in the room where they encountered the blue cretins. Dungier ushers in a blessing on Grillbar as everyone prepares to fight once more.
Flipping the cart prepared for a tussle they are met with two of the blue cretins giving big puppy dogs eyes. One of them says “please don’t hurt us, we are just little guys”. The other chimes in “we have no malice in our hearts we were just playing a game, come on”. Bobos the Fool Sorceress protests “You stabbed me in the back”, and then Grillbar decides the time for action is now.
Using his pole arm he lunges for one of the blue things, it dodges and cackles with delight screaming “Oh so you have chosen death!”. Dungifer swings forth with his mace, taking the head clean off of one of the blue pests, it clashes into mining tools with a rather loud sound.
The one screaming of death unleashes a swarm of locus from its mouth and they begin buzzing with malintent. Grillbar makes another attempt at insect spewer and skewers it, killing it instantly.
The swarm dissipates into a fine blue powder. Grillbar taste tests it and detects hints of conjuration magic and a sulfurous eggy taste. Dungifer offers some prayers for the blue cretins, their corpses burst into flames.
The crew collects themselves and explores the room some more. And find a wide hallway sloping downward. Assuming the riches are at the bottom they make their way down, but not before checking for traps. The ever wired Radcliff sees something suspicious on the ceiling and stops everyone. With the help of Grrunnarr he is lifted towards the top of the ceiling where he discovers he was simply paranoid. The adventurers go down the tunnel.
At the bottom of the slope they discover an elevator going to the lower floors but choose to explore it later. They head eastword and find a latrine. Dungifer admires the handiwork, being a former gong farmer it brings a tear to his eye. Grillbar looks up into the ventilation shaft and decides to explore. Inside he finds a small stone house with a currently sleeping blue creature inside. He reports back to his compatriots below and using Bobos’s chalk he writes out “WE COULD TURN YOU INTO THIS” and sprinkles some blue powder next to it.
They make their way southward before they hear some heavy breathing. Dungifer casts second sight, fusing his eyes shut but giving him portents of the future to come for a month. In the base of his skull he hears his goddess say to him “Be Afraid”.
