The Darkest Hour in the Brass Cave

 

Unsure how to carry on the team heads forth through the tunnels until they reach a fork heading either north or south, recalling northward has always historically been the way back to the surface they head north until they reach a brass door.

Fearfully they pause not sure what to do until finally bobos the fool sorceress touches the doors, it hisses as it slides open with prismatic mist flowing from the bottom of the door. Suddenly they are in a luxurious room with 8 large sarcophaguses in a style incongruent to the one, beautiful weaved banners.

Not wishing to possibly anger more undead, they take a door to the east, finding themselves entering into the room containing all the dwarves from the room they had been guarding. Bobos, who is used to changes in the multidimensional stream from her learned way of flaming hands, determines that something is messing with time and space but cannot be sure what exactly is going on.

Retracing their steps to the brass cave they demand answers, after a pause the voice responds “agents of chaos you have damaged the threads of the multiverse, EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!” 

They try reasoning with the voice but the chants of extermination only continue. 

Eventually Bobos says well it would be hard to exterminate us if you don’t get to us.

The now familiar rumble of the dungeon being rearranged echoes through the cave, Dungifer suddenly senses bane, but does not know what to do with him having relied upon Ildavir too much already and suddenly a great green flying lizardman like the one had fought earlier swoops in and attacks Bobos with terrible terrible claw. Ripping at her clothes and flesh she is shocked.

Radcliff drops his sack laden with gold in order to get close enough to stab the dreaded beast in the back, but is unable to take a stab before it once again tears into bobos, her stomach opened up and she collapses onto the floor, by luck alone when she drops the lantern it keeps lit.

Dungifer swings at it with the mighty of Gobnomaer but misses.

Radcliff stabs the thing in the back and it swings wildly at him, missing with the first pained flail but coming in with a second terrible claw.

Dungifer is able to strike the monster while it’s back is turned causing it to panic more, eventually realizing it is outnumbered still and gravely injured it begins to flee, but the two in their hatred for the beast strike in unison killing it dead.

As the two party members check the corpse of Bobos they realize she is alive, just barely but alive. With her tattered clothes they bandage up her midriff and ponder what to do now that they are injured, lost, and without healing.

An unfinished script for a video review of wanderhome

  This was written months ago in a single day it is unfinished and messy and needed to be revised but it was such a release of emotion that I left me satisfied emotionally but not intellectually. I haven't worked on it in a long while so have fun reading this unfinished script.
